Warrington Wolves loanee gets carded for Widnes Vikings after after controversial incident on Premier Sports

Warrington Wolves loanee Eribe Doro has been sinbinned for a highly controversial incident in Newcastle Thunder’s game against Widnes Vikings.

The Widnes prop had a coming together with a Newcastle player on the floor with the two seemingly going head-to-head before referee Aaron Moore was alerted by his touch judge to the incident.

That chat left Moore looking for his cards in the back pocket and Doro was given a yellow.

The big enforcer clearly felt aggrieved as he uttered the words “no way” as he left the field, but it was difficult to see why Moore reached for the card.

It was a nervy yet exciting first-half with only Sam Halsall’s try proving the difference between both sides at the break after Doro was sinbinned.

Gideon Boafo stretched Thunder’s lead out to 10-0 before Adam Lawton grabbed one back for Widnes.

A Jake Shorrocks penalty made it 12-6 to Newcastle and that is how the scores remained.
