Warrington Wolves legend Ben Westwood returned to the field for one last time at the weekend.
He was part of the Warrington All Stars team that went up against the RL All Stars side in a bid to raise money for the Life For a Kid charity.

The Life For a Kid charity was set up in March 2009 with the aim of helping children under the age of 16 by offering funds and equipment to help them lead a better life and to also help children who require life saving or life changing operations.
Their founder, Darren Hoggard, revealed his own aims for the charity on the charity’s website: ““To promote physical and mental health and relieve sickness amongst children, young people, their families and carers in particular but not exclusively through the provision of financial assistance, support, education and practical advice.”

On a side note, Westwood launched his Super Bennies Food Emporium back in November 2019, which is a fast food wagon serving everything from bacon and sausage butties at breakfast to burgers, chicken curry and jacket potatoes at lunchtime.
He began his career at local team Normanton Knights, before being scouted for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats in 1999.
Joining the Warrington Wolves in 2002, Westwood stayed at the Cheshire club for 18 seasons, becoming the club’s longest serving player, before retiring in 2019.
