Mike Cooper has been a stalwart for the Warrington Wolves in recent years after making the move to the Halliwell Jones Stadium in 2017.
Cooper began his career at Warrington, debuting in 2006 with the forward going on to make over 120 appearances in his first stint at the club.
From there, the fair-haired enforcer joined St George Illawarra Dragons in the NRL where he spent three seasons.
Back to the Wire he came in 2017 with over 200 appearances under his belt for Warrington in total.
But, that could all change at the end of the 2022 Super League season if Sky Sports pundit Jenna Brooks is correct in her reporting.
Brooks reported live last night – as Huddersfield Giants took on Wigan Warriors – that Cooper could indeed be joining former Warrington man Chris Hill at the John Smith’s Stadium under Ian Watson.
It would be a shock move with Cooper perhaps the one shining light in Warrington’s pack in 2022 so far.
Meanwhile, the Giants are making big moves in the transfer market too according to leading rugby league agent Craig Harrison – otherwise known as Show Me The Money UK.
“Credit to Jermaine McGillvary and Leroy Cudjoe, but you are probably looking at a right edge centre,” Harrison said on The Full Eighty Minutes podcast.
“I know at least two they have signed.
“I don’t want to break it but one of them is a cracking signing – one of them is from a top three club, so they are already making their moves and shakes there.”
One of them may well be Cooper.
