Warrington Wolves fans seriously unhappy with Wigan Warriors loss

Warrington Wolves went down 40-22 to the Wigan Warriors last night in what was their first defeat to the Cherry and Whites at the Halliwell Jones Stadium since 2017.

Wigan were on top from the minute go, with the likes of Jai Field and Bevan French carving the Wolves up on numerous occasions.

In fact, they were so dominant that Wigan ran out to a 40-10 lead at one stage before Warrington scored two consolation tries, but Wire fans were seriously unhappy.

One fan stated: “Just not good enough”.

One Wire supporter believes his side are far away from a top half team, stating: “Think we have to accept that we are a lower half team now. We look like we don’t get coached.”

One Wigan supporter commented about the superb game from Harry Smith, joking: “Any Warrington fans seen if George Williams has got out of Harry Smith’s pocket yet.”

Another Warrington fan praised Wigan for the way they played, tweeting: “Well done Wigan beaten in every department tonight.”

Another Wire fan made reference to the ‘Always Our Year’ joke, saying: “It’s always our year,” with a funny Simpsons meme.

Even a Leeds Rhinos fan had their say, tweeting: “Madness we’re only three points off Warrington.”
