Warrington Wolves fans sell out Las Vegas clash v Wigan Warriors

Warrington Wolves look set to take an army of supporters with them to Las Vegas next year when they face Wigan Warriors with the club confirming incredible ticket sales.

As part of the NRL season launch, Wigan Warriors will host Warrington Wolves in Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium with Wigan’s CEO Kris Radlinski approaching the NRL to ensure Super League was represented.

The two old foes will face off as the first game in a day that will be a festival of rugby league with four games in total being played, including England’s Women taking on their Australian counterparts.

Of the six clubs represented, each side was allocated a certain section for ticket sales and it’s now been confirmed that Warrington Wolves have been forced to open a third section, such has been the huge demand for tickets.

Warrington Wolves confirmed that via their social media and off the back of their impressive win over Wigan Warriors on Friday, fans might be heading over in a far more confident mood.

A post on Warrington’s social media confirmed: “Due to incredible demand, the NRL and Allegiant Stadium have now created a third supporter bay for Wire fans in block 224.”

Tickets are available via the club’s website with Wire having partnered with Catalans Sports Tours to offer a package including flights, tickets and hotels.

Unfortunately, given the huge demand for tickets and the extra allocation of stadium sections, the packages from Manchester are fully booked with that airport being local to both Wigan and Wire.

When announced earlier in the month, Warrington Wolves CEO Karl Fitzpatrick paid huge credit to his Wigan counterpart Kris Radlinski for making the fixture happen.

Fitzpatrick said: “First of all credit must go to Kris Radlinski, Mike Danson and the Board at Wigan for driving this project. When approached about this opportunity we were onboard from the outset. This initiative is fully aligned with our Club’s positioning and ambitions.

“Playing in one of the world’s best entertainment destinations at a stunning venue is going to be an exciting and memorable experience for our supporters, players and partners. It will also put Super League on the map in a sports market full of opportunity.”
