Warrington Wolves have confirmed the departure of two players – one permanently and one on a season-long loan.

Half-back Riley Dean has joined Newcastle Thunder on a season-long loan deal with a recall option. The 20-year-old has made three appearances this campaign and will gain valuable experience in the North East before returning to the Wire. We wish Riley the best of luck during his loan spell.

23-year-old Ellis Robson, meanwhile, has left the club permanently for Thunder forward progressed through Warrington’ Scholarship and Academy sides but has found first team opportunities hard to come by this year.

The Wolves said: “Everyone at the club wishes Robbo all the best with the next stage of his career and thanks him for his efforts during his time with the Wire. “
