Warrington Wolves head coach Daryl Powell has named his 17-man squad for today’s game against Huddersfield Giants – and there is a surprise choice of halfbacks.
It was confirmed during the week that Gareth Widdop would not be playing due to a glute injury, but nothing was said of George Williams who was expected to start in the halves this weekend.
However, the England international will not play either, with Peter Mata’utia and Riley Dean named in the halves in a shock line-up for the Cheshire club.
