The team news is in ahead of Thursday night’s bumper Super League clash between St Helens and Warrington Wolves.
It is a game that puts together second and third in the table, and after Saints’ defeat to Leeds Rhinos last week, the home side need a win to go back level on points with their opponents this week.
Warrington came through a very poor game with Hull FC, securing the two points thanks to a Josh Smith brace. They will have to improve significantly if they want to defeat the Red Vee on home turf.
With the 21-man squads now announced, there have been changes for both sides, more so for Warrington, who have been delivered mixed injury news.
St Helens v Warrington Wolves team news
St Helens:
The home side could potentially hand a debut to overseas forward Daniel Suluka-Fitita, who joined the club in the week’s break for the Challenge Cup Final.
It was deemed too early for him to feature against Leeds last week, but the 26-year-old has targeted this game as the one to make his first St Helens appearance. He replaces Harry Robertson in the initial side.
With Jackson Hastings still suspended, George Whitby is set to feature once again. However, with Owen Dagnall set to have recovered from illness, it could mean that Tristan Sailor partners Jonny Lomax in the halves, kicking Whitby out of the starting 13.
Deon Cross and Lewis Murphy missed out of last week’s game due to injury, and as a result Murphy has missed out, but Cross has been able to retain his place. Deacon Swarbrick has been named and could potentially debut this week.

Warrington Wolves:
Cai Taylor-Wray is included after battling an ankle issue in recent weeks. Josh Thewlis is named, but is in doubt after missing last week’s win over Hull FC.
Toby King has dropped out after leaving the field in the second half on Friday night, as has Joe Philbin. Max Wood is another withdrawal, after he joined the Black and Whites on a month’s loan. Marc Sneyd will also miss this week.
In terms of replacements, James Bentley returns from suspension, whilst James Harrison is named for the first time since the round eight defeat to Catalans Dragons back in April.
Adam Holroyd could make his first appearance of the season, whilst Tommy Rhodes has joined Sam Burgess’ squad this week.
