Warrington Wolves star Matt Dufty has detailed his move to Super League, two years on from signing for the club.
The former St George Illawarra Dragons and Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs man joined the Wolves mid-way through the 2022 season, making six appearances at the end of the campaign, scoring an incredible four tries in one game – against Huddersfield Giants – just five games into his Super League career.
He has since cemented his number one place in the side, and has started in almost every game when he has been available to play.

Speaking to the ‘By The Balls‘ podcast, he said: “Yeah, I think when I first came to England, it was their summer, so it was like end of July and it was nice.
“And then I went home before it was winter, then my first real English experience was when I came back to the 2023 preseason, and it was snowing one day in the preseason.
“I was like, ‘where am I? What is going on here?’
“Yeah, and then January’s always hard after Christmas. Christmas is really nice. January can be hard and dark. But I really enjoy my time in England this year.
“I think I’ve really settled in. Me and my partner have really settled in.”
This year, he signed a contract extension with the club, meaning he will be contracted through the 2026 season.
As well as his personal life, it is a huge change in terms of the sport, and he said of Super League: “It’s very different styles of gameplay, I think.
“NRL is a bit more structured, a bit more analysing goes into the plays you run, into the set-up during the week.
“But over here, it’s probably a little bit more free-flowing, you can find a little bit more space later in games. So, yeah, I can’t complain. I’m loving my footy at the moment.”
He’ll be hoping to play a part in the side’s eliminator clash with St Helens this weekend.
