Warrington v Leigh: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

Leigh are still chasing their first win of the season as they look to avoid relegation as well as the growing possibility that they could become the first team to end a Super League season winless. Meanwhile, the free-scoring Wolves will look to cement their play-off spot having beaten Champions St Helens last week.

It’ll be tougher for the Wolves than some might think. They’re without nine first teamers thanks to Friday’s international as well as the odd injury concern. It means young backs Josh Thewlis and Connor Wrench could return to the side. Meanwhile, plenty of other youngsters have a real chance of playing including Ellis Robson and Riley Dean. If rumours are to be believed, it could be one of Blake Austin’s last games for Warrington as he finds himself linked with a move to Hull KR.

As for Leigh, they welcome back Jordan Thompson. His return should ease the problems the Centurions are having in the pack which have again worsened this week with Adam Sidlow dropping out of the squad once more. Nathan Peats will miss out as he appears set to play against England for the Combined Nations. However, Leigh are spoilt for choice in the outside backs with former Warrington winger Matty Russell set to battle with the likes of Craig Mullen for a place.
