Warrington v Castleford: 21-man squads and injury update

Warrington and Castleford have both announced their 21-man squads for Saturday afternoon’s round seven fixture at the Halliwell Jones Stadium (KO 3:00pm).

The Wolves will be hoping to impress their fans significantly more than they did on Monday, when they marked the return of supporters to their home ground with a 26-20 loss to Huddersfield.

The Tigers also suffered defeat as spectators returned to The Jungle, conceding a late Jordan Abdull try to lose 26-22 to Hull KR.

Warrington Wolves

Greg Inglis is ruled out with a hamstring problem, with captain Jack Hughes returning from suspension in his place. There’s one other change, with young forward Jacob Gannon earning his first call up to the 21 in place of Sitaleki Akauola. Matty Ashton (ankle) and Eribe Doro (suspended) remain unavailable.

Castleford Tigers

Prop Suaia Matagi is set to make his Tigers debut after recovering from a calf problem that has kept him out so far this season. He is one of two changes made by Daryl Powell, with Greg Eden also returning from a hamstring injury, as Gareth O’Brien and Sam Hall drop out. There’s still no Liam Watts (suspended), Grant Millington (knee), Sosaia Feki (achilles), Alex Foster (bicep), Cheyse Blair and Jacques O’Neill.
