Warrington Wolves academy players Josh Thewlis and Ellis Longstaff have signed their first professional contracts at the club.
Thewlis caught the attention of the rugby league community back in June when he made his debut for the Wolves against Catalans Dragons.
However, Longstaff is yet to make an appearance in the First Team. But his academy performances have earned him a chance with the big boys.
Both have signed contracts until November 2022.
Paul Anderson, Warrington’s academy head coach, told the club website: “As a club, we are extremely excited that two more players have graduated from our academy system, as we aim to keep producing our own players of a high standard with the belief that we can make Warrington Wolves a continued threat at the top of Super League.
“Both Ellis and Josh are hardworking and humble people, and fully deserving of these contracts. They are not only a reflection of what they do on the field but also of the continued hard work they do of it.”
