Warrington missing EIGHT key players for Saints clash

Warrington Wolves coach Steve Price will be without eight key players when the club host rivals St Helens on Thursday.

Maverick halfback Blake Austin and back rower Jack Hughes are out with an ankle injury and a ruptured testicle respectively, while Tom Lineham is suspended.

Also absent from the Wolves’ squad are Mike Cooper, Daryl Clark, Jason Clark, Joe Philbin and Dec Patton.

Price has named new signing Matty Smith in his 19-man squad, after he arrived at the club on loan from Catalans this week.

Teenage duo Josh Thewlis and Riley Dean have also been included, with the latter in contention to make his professional debut, while fellow squad players Luis Johnson, Harvey Livett, Pat Moran and Luther Burrell are all set to line-up against the League Leaders Shield winners.
