Warrington involved in political statement

Warrington Wolves have done something slightly different ahead of their crunch play-off clash with Hull KR tomorrow night.

Sir Lindsay Hoyle – an avid Warrington fan and current Speaker of the House of Commons – invited a number of world politicians to his office with a number of them being given a Wolves shirt as a present.

Those included Nancy Pelosi – Speaker of the United States’ House of Representatives – as well as Richard Ferrand – the President of the National Assembly of France.

All were shown holding up the famous primrose and blue of the Warrington Wolves, with their names on the back adorned with the number 7.

At a time when the sport needs more exposure than ever, it appears Sir Hoyle is doing his utmost best to put his beloved team in the limelight.
