Warrington fans worried after Wakefield win

Warrington Wolves are back top of the league but it was more hard work than many expected against winless Wakefield Trinity last night.

12-all at halftime, the Wolves only began to pull away when Kevin Proctor was sent off for a high tackle.

The Wolves went on to win 32-18 with Matty Ashton scoring twice having signed a new deal this week.

However, it seems Warrington fans are beginning to worry. One fan claimed it was a “poor performance” and a top team would have “humiliated” them last night.

Another fan echoed the “poor performance” remark but hoped the Wolves were just saving energy after all, top teams often have games like that.

One fan did give deserved credit to Wakefield as they pushed the league leaders all the way. Hope yet for Mark Applegarth’s side?

One fan warned that the Wolves would have to be a lot better against Hull KR with the Robins in red hot form.

That said, another supporter claimed that Daryl Powell’s honeymoon period is now well and truly over.

The Wolves’ defence was highlighted with the fact Wakefield scored more points against them than five clubs combined.

However one fan summed it up well acknowledging the disappointment in the performance but the fact the result is the main thing:
