Warrington Wolves have confirmed joint-captain Jack Hughes had a double-hernia operation.
Hughes has not played since the Great Britain Lions tour, where he played in two of the four matches. He underwent the operation after returning home.
The 27-year-old had been struggling with hip and groin injuries. He even wore a cricket box in the Challenge Cup Final to protect a ruptured testicle.
Whilst the club haven’t put a timeline on his return, they are optimistic he can return in the early stages of the season.
