Warrington 2/5 to win at Wakefield

An intriguing game to kick off the Rugby League weekend as Warrington take the Thursday night trip over the Pennines to Wakefield .

Trinity have steadied their ship after an opening day defeat to London, which was followed by a home defeat to St Helens, and have now won 3 of their last 4 . They have won only one of 3 at home though so it’s no surprise that Warrington, who have only lost in Perpignan so far, are around 2/5 to win this one.

Warrington though have only played twice on the road , the other game being a win at Huddersfield so it’s hard to assess their form away from the HJ.
It’s a tough one to call , 2/1 looks good value for the hosts in a ground where Wire have come unstuck in the past but the news that wing star Tom Johnstone being out for the season is a real blow and this maybe just tips the scales in favour of the visitors.
It certainly could go either way though with the lead changing hands , so maybe Wakefield to be winning at half time and Warrington to win at full time could be good value to a small stake at around 7/1.
In a game that will surely be tight though Wakefield getting an 8 point start on the handicap is probably where the value lies.
A 1-5 point away win is about where I see this ending up.

Charnley at 8/1 would be my 1st try pick , but back to fitness Ben Currie to score anytime at 5/2 is probably the bet of the game.

All Wire at the top of the man of the match betting , Ratchford is 6/1 favourite with Austin at 8/1 . It’s take your pick really but maybe today could be the time for Austin , as for Trinity surely it has to be Brough at 8/1.

Top of the table clash between Saints and Castleford on Friday, as always please gamble responsibly
