We want to go all the way says Cas star Gale

With the League Leaders Shield all but wrapped up, Castleford Tigers scrum-half Luke Gale says the job is only half-done as his side look to reach Old Trafford.

Five games remain of the Super 8s and Cas are ten points clear of second-placed Leeds, meaning just a draw would do for the Tigers when they take on Wakefield Trinity on Thursday.

Gale has been at the forefront of the attack this season and has been one of many reasons why Cas have blew away the field. The former Bradford Bull is motivated to make history with his teammates on Thursday.

“I am really pleased for the boys,” Gale told the Yorkshire Post.

“We have got the chance to make history. Castleford have never won the league leaders and it would be nice to get it in our hands on Thursday, at our home ground.

“The boys are pumped. We have worked hard for it, but there’s still a long way to go.

“The league leaders is one thing, but we want to go all the way.

“Once we achieve the league leaders then the focus will pick up on the semi-final, the game that gets us to the Grand Final. We will just take one game at a time and look forward to this week.”
