Wakefield have made three signings alongside Lee Gaskell who has already signed on the dotted line for 2022 and beyond.

Those three, according to Sky Sports pundit Jenna Brooks, are Liam Hood, Samisoni Langi and Tom Lineham.

Hood, 29, has been at Leigh since 2019, captaining the side in their first season back in Super League.

Langi, 28, signed for Catalans back in 2018 and has become one of the Dragons’ most consistent players in recent years.

And, bringing up the rear is winger Tom Lineham – a fine, try-scoring player who has been at Warrington since 2016 after bursting through as a youngster with Hull.

Meanwhile former Castleford assistant coach and current Salford number two Danny Orr spoke highly of the sacked Chris Chester whilst live on Sky Sports.

“He’s done some wonderful things here and they haven’t been able to go on a winning run this year as they normally do,” Orr said.

“It’s not for me to say whether change is a right thing to do but I’m a big fan of Chezzy (Chris Chester) and I wish him all the best.”

Wakefield currently sit second bottom of Super League with just four wins from 17 games.
