Wakefield v St Helens: 21-man squads and injury update

Wakefield and St Helens have both announced their 21-man squads for Friday night’s round 14 fixture at the Mobile Rocket Stadium (KO 7:45pm).

Trinity will go into the game with a full two weeks of preparation behind them due to games being postponed and rescheduled. Their last outing was an impressive 14-6 win over Wigan last month, taking them to four victories from their last six games.

Saints also beat the Warriors last time out, triumphing 24-6 in Sunday’s derby to nudge themselves further in front of their local rivals in the table, where they sit second.

Wakefield Trinity

There’s just one change to Wakefield squad, with Brad Walker dropping out to make it a 19-man squad. Chris Chester remains without Tom Johnstone (knee), Jordy Crowther (leg), Bill Tupou (knee), Jack Croft (ACL), Alex Walker (back) and Josh Wood (jaw) through injury.

St Helens

Saints welcome back forward duo Matty Lees and Joel Thompson, who have recovered from respective leg and shoulder injuries. They replace halfback Theo Fages and centre Ben Davies. James Bentley (leg) and  Jake Wingfield (shoulder) remain unavailable.
