Wakefield v Hull FC: Predicted line-ups and late injury news

Two teams with nothing to play for meet tonight at Belle Vue. Despite the fact Hull come into the game two places ahead of Trinity, there’s must more optimism circulating Trinity at this time. Hull FC will want to change that narrative before we head into the off-season.

Wakefield won’t make too many changes from the side who have overseen Trinity’s best form of the year. Lee Kershaw’s absence is a blow and means Liam Kay will be asked to start on the wing despite his impressive performances at nine recently. Apart from his move to the flank, Willie Poching will keep his pack together. There’s a chance young Harry Bowes could be asked to fill in at nine.

As for Hull FC, Marc Sneyd’s absence will force Brett Hodgson into a slight re-jig. Ben McNamara will fill the void in the halves alongside Jake Connor whilst someone like Josh Bowden could come onto the bench. Any further changes will be down to preference alone and could reveal more about Hull’s planned overhaul over the winter.
