Wakefield Trinity’s David Fifita names shock best player in Super League and toughest opponent

David Fifita (8) of Wakefield Trinity goes over for a try

Wakefield Trinity forward David Fifita has been at Belle Vue since 2016, making over 100 appearances in the process.

The powerful prop, in that time, has made a reputation for himself as one of the most formidable ball-carriers in Super League.

As such, he is well placed to discuss some of the best players in Super League from his time so far in the UK.

Fifita took part in a quick interview with his agent, Craig Harrison at Show Me The Money UK, with a number of questions aimed at the Tongan forward.

One of those questions asked Fifita who is the best player he has seen in England during his time at the club.

Fifita didn’t need much prompting and responded with two simple words: “Tom Johnstone,” Fifita told The Full Eighty Minutes podcast.

More interestingly, he was also asked to name the toughest opponent he has come across – and some people might raise a few eyebrows with it being none other than a Huddersfield Giants winger.

“Jermaine McGillvary, I think because he’s the only one that’s ever picked me up like I was nothing!”
