It’s been years since Wakefield have beaten Castleford in a West Yorkshire derby, but today might just be their day.
After four wins in the last five, the in form Trinity will be looking to add to Castleford’s woes by keeping the Tigers inside the bottom three this weekend.
Meanwhile, Castleford will be hoping to generate some much needed momentum with just two league wins to their name in 2022.
Kick-off time and TV channel
The game will kick off at 19:45.
There will be no TV coverage but highlights will be available on Super League’s YouTube channel.
Predicted Line-ups
Wakefield Trinity
Trinity will definitely be without Jacob Miller and James Batchelor and Willie Poching will be sweating on Tom Johnstone’s fitness. If fit, we could see both Johnstone and Lewis Murphy on the wings after the latter’s performance against Wigan last week. This would allow Liam Kay to return to the role of replacement nine. David Fifita could also return to the fold after missing the last few.

Castleford Tigers
Castleford’s problems are in the backs with Jordan Turner and Bureta Faraimo out injured. This will see Derrell Olpherts and Mahe Fonua come into the backline for Lee Radford’s side. This will also leave a spot on the bench which could go to young forward Alex Sutcliffe.
