Wakefield Trinity v Hull FC line-ups as Powell rings the changes and Hull dealt fitness boost

Hull FC

Head coaches Daryl Powell and John Cartwright have rung the changes this evening as Wakefield Trinity host Hull FC at Belle Vue.

Both sides have struggled for form in the opening few rounds of the season, winning one of their first three games, and they’ll both fancy their chances of being able to get their campaigns back on track tonight.

There’s no Max Jowitt for the Trin, with the full-back picking up a knock last week in the loss at Warrington Wolves. As such, Josh Rourke starts at full-back tonight and he’ll be part of a spine that includes Harvey Smith at hooker, with the youngster replacing the injured Tyson Smoothy in the starting side.

Mason Lino was included in the 21-man squad, but he hasn’t been named in the team, with Jack Sinfield and Jake Trueman starting in the halves.

Ky Rodwell steps into the front row, while Will Tate replaces Cam Scott in the starting XIII, with the former FC man dropping onto the bench. Matty Storton drops down to 18th man.

Cartwright has been boosted by the fitness of Aidan Sezer, who picked up an eye injury last time out against York Knights and he starts at scrum-half. John Asiata makes his first start of the season, too, in a change that frees up Yusuf Aydin to bolster the club’s front-row ranks.

Brad Fash replaces Jed Cartwright in second row, while James Bell and Ligi Sao are named on the bench.
