Wakefield Trinity’s night at Headingley couldn’t have got off to a worse start, with one of their key men leaving the field just five minutes in.
Cameron Scott was on the end of a charging run from Leeds forward Keenan Palasia, and the centre has come off second best.
Trinity have had just two carries of the ball in the opening five minutes, having made an unforced error on the second play of the game.
The away side then conceded a six again, and then a penalty for an escort, which then resulted in Leeds taking the two.
Jake Connor converted the penalty goal, giving Leeds an early 2-0 lead.
The collision took place in the following set, and after a 10 minute stoppage where he was attended to by both sets of physios, he was stretchered from the field with a neck brace fitted.
Everyone at Serious About Rugby League hopes that the injury is nothing serious, and we wish Cameron a speedy recovery.
