Super League’s biggest recruit for 2027, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck, will be sidelined for some of his final NRL season, after the future Wakefield Trinity man picked up an injury.
Tuivasa-Sheck, who is currently excelling in the centre spots at the New Zealand Warriors, has suffered an AC joint injury in his shoulder, and will be out of action for the next few weeks.
Luckily for the Wahs and RTS, the club have a bye week this week, meaning the dual-code international won’t miss a game this week, but he is in doubt for future weeks.
Tuivasa-Sheck picked up the injury in the club’s win over Parramatta Eels, but he was able to play through the pain and see out the full 80 minutes, and even scored a try.
The Wahs have not put a timeframe on his return just yet, but if you look at Umyla Hanley in Super League, who had the same injury, he missed the first two months of the season, so ‘RTS’ could be set for an extended period out of action.
Fellow Warriors teammate, and a notable face to Super League fans, Morgan Gannon, has completed his concussion protocols and is expected to be available for Magic Round next weekend.

Matt Dufty decision made by South Sydney Rabbitohs
Another familiar face on these shores, Matt Dufty has been excelling for the Rabbitohs since he was handed a second chance at the NRL earlier this season.
Playing in three games, he has scored two tries, assisted another and averaged 294 run metres per game.
However, the former Warrington Wolves man was only handed his chance after starting full-back Jye Gray was out through injury.
The Origin hopeful is now back in the side, meaning that Dufty has dropped to a bench role.
The ex-Wire full-back has a dream of reaching 100 NRL appearances. Should he appear at the weekend, it will be appearance number 98, so he will be hoping to stay in the side a little bit longer so he can pull up the century.
