Wakefield Trinity reveal new hooker and winger signings in squad numbers

Wakefield Trinity have announced their squad numbers with two new signings taking first-team slots.

Max Jowitt retains his number 1 shirt following the departures of Ryan Hampshire and Alex Walker, whilst Tom Johnstone and Bill Tupou retain their numbers 2 and 3 respectively.

Reece Lyne again takes the number 4 shirt with new signing Tom Lineham in at number 5 following his off-season move from the Warrington Wolves.

Captain Jacob Miller and Mason Lino retain the 6 and 7 as Eddie Battye moves into the number 8 jersey, whilst another new recruit Liam Hood takes the hooker’s shirt.

Tinirau Arona again takes number 10, with Matty Ashurst taking 11 and Kelepi Tanginoa 12.

Jay Pitts takes over from Joe Westerman at number 13.

Willie Poching is set for his full pre-season in charge of Wakefield Trinity after taking over current Leigh Centurions head of rugby Chris Chester.

Chester won just four games for Trinity in 2021 as Poching took over on an interim basis until he won five out of seven Super League games to be handed the reins permanently.
