Wakefield Trinity have announced a fifth signing for the 2025 season with the club re-signing centre Corey Hall from Hull KR.
Previously, Trinity had confirmed the arrivals of Tom Johnstone and Mike McMeeken from Catalans Dragons, Cam Scott from Hull FC and Oliver Russell from Huddersfield Giants. They’re now added to those four with tonight’s announcement.
Just this week, Cam Scott was released from his Hull FC contract so that he could link up with Wakefield Trinity early with the centre currently recovering from a hamstring injury.
Of the four earlier signings, three of them (Johnstone, McMeeken and Russell) had penned four-year deals highlighting the long-term plans that the club have of becoming a “top four” Super League side, something that has been outlined by owner Matt Ellis and recruitment manager Ste Mills.
It’s been confirmed that Hall has joined the club on a three-year deal with the 21-year-old returning to the club that he left in the middle of last season.

Wakefield Trinity shared the news of the re-signing via their website and social media channels with 21-year-old Hall returning after just over a year away from Belle Vue.
During his time at Hull KR he only made 10 appearances and is currently on loan at Castleford Tigers with the Robins having a wealth of depth in the position after signing players such as Oliver Gildart, Peta Hiku and Jack Broadbent.
Trinity announced Hall’s arrival with a statement confirming their pride in seeing the 21-year-old return to the club.
It read: “Wakefield Trinity are proud to welcome Corey Hall back to the club from the start of the 2025 season!
“The talented 21-year old has agreed a three-year deal with the club meaning he’ll be in Red, White and Blue until the end of the 2027 season.”
On returning to Wakefield, Corey Hall said: “I am buzzing to have signed back at Wakefield as it’s a club close to myself and my family’s heart, it’s where I started. The exciting development of the club offers the perfect opportunity for me to work with the lads and staff on building something special.”
Trinity Head Coach, Daryl Powell said: “Corey is a player whose career I have followed for a long time. He is an outstanding outside back who has got so much growth in him, and who will add to the outstanding young British back line we have put together for the clubs near future. He is strong, athletic, skilful and a great defender. I look forward to working with him to enhance his rich potential.”
