Wakefield Trinity announce renewal of pathway programme

Wakefield Trinity have announced that they will be renewing their Trinity Talent Pathway for the February half-term in the hope of inspiring or uncovering some talented young players.
The Super League side announced the news via their twitter feed and website and recalled the huge history that the club have in developing talent though their academy.
As part of the announcement they referenced that current vice-captain, Jordy Crowther, came through their academy system and via the ranks, similar to the programme they are now set to run throughout February.
The programme will offer opportunities to both boys and girls between the age groups of Under 12s to Under 16s.
A statement on the Trinity side read.
“Wakefield Trinity Community Foundation is delighted to announce that our Trinity Talent Pathway programme will be running in the February half-term.
“Our Trinity Talent Pathway (TTP) consists of non-selective, open-access sessions that give male and female players from u12’s to u16’s (non-scholarship) the opportunity to develop at a professional club in a performance environment.
“Delivered by experienced development and performance coaches, these sessions focus on developing technical, tactical, movement, mental skills, and game sense to develop every player and allow more players to demonstrate their potential.
“Trinity has a history of an incredibly successful academy set-up, with notable members of the first-team squad such as Harry Bowes and vice-captain, Jordy Crowther, coming through the ranks at the club.”
The team’s Rugby League & Inclusion Officer, Charlie Doherty, said, “We are delighted to bring back our Rugby League Trinity Talent pathway programmes for 2023.
“This is an incredible opportunity for players, both girls and boys, to showcase and develop their skills in a unique environment, working with the experienced coaches at the club.”
