Sydney Roosters forward Jared Waerea-Hargreaves is hoping to be part of a Sydney Roosters side that makes history on Saturday Night.
The Roosters take on Super League champions St Helens looking for their record-breaking fifth World Club Challenge title.
When asked about the possibility of making history, he said: “It’s important to us. We came here last year with a really staunch attitude. We are doing the same this year.
“Every game we play is important and we want to win. We will be doing everything we can to make sure we are ready.”
This is the Kiwi international’s third World Club Challenge appearance, and he said he is excited to be back over this side of the world.
He said: “It’s always a good occasion. Its a great opportunity for both clubs and we take it very seriously.
“Everyone talks about what they’ve done now and were they’re up to. But were really excited not to be hitting each other.
“We’ve trained really well for this. Its a good opportunity to finish off a great year, but also to kick start our 2020 season.”
