Vital team news for both sides in huge derby as stars included

It’s Easter which means its Rivals Round in the Betfred Super League.

There is a lot of focus on the Hull derby and the clash between Wigan Warriors and St Helens on Good Friday as traditionally the two biggest derbies, but the most important could be tonight’s clash between Wakefield Trinity and Castleford Tigers.

After seven rounds, they only have one win between them and at present they are the sides most threatened by relegation.

A win for either side on would be huge.

The team news is now in for the clash.

Nathan Mason is set for a debut after joining fellow Huddersfield Giants stars on loan at Wakefield in the shape of Innes Senior and Sam Hewitt. All three start.

Will Dagger is also set for another appearance. He is named at fullback. They have strong centres in Reece Lyne and Samisoni Langi.

Trinity are boosted by the return of Kevin Proctor and hooker Liam Hood. Hood starts and Proctor is named on the bench.

As for Castleford, Jacob Miller starts against his old side for the first time since making the switch, while Joe Westerman knows both sides of this fixture having featured in both camps.

Gareth Widdop is not featured due to illness while Adam Milner will serve the second of his two-game suspension so will not be involved; however the Tigers ranks have been bolstered by the return of Niall Evalds from injury, and the loan signing of Luis Johnson from Hull Kingston Rovers.

The return of Niall Evalds is huge for the West Yorkshire side and he starts at fullback with Johnson on the bench.

Broadbent starts at six in place of Widdop.
