Former Leeds Rhinos captain Kallum Watkins is still weeks away from making his NRL debut, as he is still awaiting clearance on his working visa.
The 28-year-old has been in Australia for almost three weeks now, after signing a two-and-a-half year deal with Gold Coast Titans.
But despite having started training with his new teammates, Watkins’ visa is yet to be fully processed and could still take a number of weeks to be completed.
It’s the second time Watkins’ move down under has been disrupted, after an administrative error meaning he had to be registered by the NRL on June 30th Australian time denied him a farewell at Emerald Headingley Stadium.
