Veteran winger signs new Rochdale deal

Rochdale Hornets have confirmed winger Dale Bloomfield has signed on for another year.

It is the 31-year-old’s seventh season with the club across three stints. He initially signed in 2010, but then signed for Oldham in 2013.

Bloomfield then returned in 2015,  and had further spells at North Wales Crusaders and Hunslet in 2018 and 2019 before signing for a third time with Rochdale in 2020.

He scored one try in the Challenge Cup against York Acorn this year.

He told the club website: “I’m excited to get going again in 2021.

“League One is going to be a competitive and exciting league next year and we are putting together a squad that is going to be challenging for promotion.

“I look forward to being back at the Crown Oil Arena in 2021 and working alongside Matt and the team.”
