“Very frustrated” Adrian Lam says he is “getting tired” of this after defeat to Salford

Leigh Leopards boss Adrian Lam wasn’t that happy with his side after they lost to Salford Red Devils today despite pushing them right to the end of the game.

Speaking after the game on Sky Sports, he explained why his side lost as he expressed his frustration and the fact he is getting tired of some errors.

He said: “Very frustrated, we just didn’t build pressure when we had the ball in good areas.

“We hung in well and then just gave the ball up at the other end whenever their was a chance.

“Too often, too many dumb things.

“Yes there are lessons along the way and we need to change things but I am just getting tired of it.”

That said, he spoke about sticking together and getting smarter.

He believes that is the key to Leigh climbing the table:

“It’s about sticking together through these moments and as a team getting smarter.

“There was definitely effort there. Our execution has been really good at times this year and at times it has been really poor.

“I think there was a spell when they had nine sets in a row and they blew out to 16-6 ahead and we just couldn’t manage that.

“There are good points during our games at the moment but there are some things we need to cut out.

“We wait till the last minute of the game to move the ball when it’s too late.”
