Update on Leigh recruitment and coaching dilemma

Leigh are currently in a pickle – there’s no doubt about that.

With no wins from the Super League season so far, the Centurions are doing it tough at the bottom of the Super League table. But, new signings may well be on their way, head coach Kurt Haggerty has revealed.

“Hopefully in the next couple of weeks,” Haggerty said. “We are just trying to sort out the last minute things with it.”

Though players seem to be on their way in, Haggerty still hasn’t confirmed his future at the club with no discussions taking place just yet about the 32-year-old’s future.

“Not particularly, no,” Haggerty replied when asked if he has spoken with the club about his future.

“I’m in daily contact with Derek (Beaumont) and Neil Jukes in relation to players coming in but nothing concrete yet.”
