Craig Fitzgibbon is one of the most accomplished players to ever grace Super League.

He made over 250 appearances in the NRL prior to leaving for Hull FC in 2010 in a major coup for the Black and Whites.

He added real pedigree to the squad and finished his career there in 2011.

It was a career that saw him play for New South Wales in State of Origin as well as representing Australia.

Meanwhile, he also played for NSW Country in City vs Country and represented the Exiles against England in 2011.

On retirement, Fitzgibbon would turn his attentions to coaching and soon returned to the Sydney Roosters as part of the coaching staff.

He would coach NSW Country and is now in the hot seat at the Cronulla Sharks. After a hugely successful 2022, he is set to kick on in 2023 and hopefully in the Premiership mix as the season comes to a close with the Sharks not winning since 2016.

But one question always hangs around any Head Coach and it is: how secure is he in his job?

Well according to the Daily Telegraph, Fitzgibbon is one of the most secure coaches in the NRL so don’t expect him to make the move to Super League any time soon.
