Some famous folk are big fans of rugby league.

Russell Crowe is more than just a fan and is heavily involved in South Sydney Rabbitohs, we have seen the likes of Rio Ferdinand at Wigan Warriors games in the past and Sir Bradley Wiggins.

Stuart Pearce is often spotted watching Warrington Wolves and Harry Potter star Matthew Lewis is a Leeds Rhinos fan.

But perhaps the best boxer on the planet right now, Tyson Fury, also seems to be a fan of rugby league.

The Gypsy King was spotted in Australia recently sporting a Queensland top just before State of Origin as spotted by Tasman Fighters.

Fury is down under as talks are being held for the WBC heavyweight champion to fight Demsey McKean in Australia this summer.

Discussions are underway with the fighters’ teams and the Queensland state government.

But it seems Fury could enjoy some rugby league whilst he’s over in Australia arranging his next fight.

Hopefully he stops by some Super League games when he returns to the UK.

Plenty of ex rugby league players have turned their hands to boxing especially down under such as the likes of Paul Gallen.

Perhaps then if Fury does fight in Australia we could see some familiar faces on the undercard.
