Theo Fages will leave Catalans Dragons at the end of the Super League season after agreeing a deal to join French outfit Pia XIII Baroudeur.
The playmaker is in the final few months of his contract with Catalans but he has secured his future in the game by joining the Super XIII club for the 2025-26 season.
It’s a move that sees Fages bring an end to his 13-year stay in Super League, having represented Salford Red Devils, St Helens, Huddersfield Giants and Catalans.
In that time he has made 243 appearances in Super League, scoring 60 tries, and he has two Grand Final winners’ rings at home to show for his efforts. The 30-year-old has also won the Challenge Cup, with all of those trophy wins coming during his time at St Helens.
Fages joined Catalans ahead of the 2024 season and has featured on 37 occasions for the club. However, he has struggled to make the desired impact this season and as a result he has been in and out of the side, featuring just once since June 13.
He’ll join a Pia XIII outfit that finished fourth in the French league last season despite boasting familiar names such as Hakim Miloudi and Harrison Hansen in their ranks.

“I am very happy to have the opportunity to return to Pia XIII, my family’s club that made me love this sport,” Fages said after agreeing to join the club his father Pascal Fages played for. “I am excited about this new challenge and I can’t wait to join the team.”
Fages is one of a host of players set to leave Catalans at the end of the year, with Tevita Pangai Jr joining Warrington Wolves, while Sam Tomkins has confirmed his retirement from the game. However, the likes of Alrix Da Costa, Tariq Sims, Fouad Yaha, Elliott Whitehead and Reimis Smith are all facing uncertain futures.
