Two Super League players suspended

All three Super League players cited by the RFL’s match review panel this week have taken the option of the Early Guilty Plea.

This has resulted in two players been suspended ahead of the Super 8s and the Qualifiers.

Widnes forward Alex Gerrard has been given a two-match ban for Grade C dangerous contact on Warrington’s Ben Currie.

Castleford’s Kevin Larroyer has also been given a two-match ban for Grade C other contrary behaviour during the match against Catalans on Saturday.

Larroyer was sin-binned during the match after he grabbed Vincent Duport between the legs in a ‘squirrel-grip’ tackle.

Meanwhile, Tigers’ winger Joel Monaghan has escaped suspension after he was cited for Grade A dangerous contact during the same game.
