Two Super League clubs turn to NRL for signings

We have seen a number of Super League clubs confirm signings lately such as Leeds Rhinos, Wigan Warriors, Warrington Wolves and Hull KR.

Many clubs have turned to the NRL for transfers with Hull KR bringing in Oliver Gildart and peta Hiku from down under.

Meanwhile, Warrington Wolves beat four other clubs to the signing of Lachlan Fitzgibbon for next year.

Wigan Warriors likewise have made an NRL signing bringing in former Huddersfield Giants star and Leeds skipper Kruise Leeming for next year.

The Warriors have also been linked with Brenko Lee of The Dolphins for next year.

Leeds have confirmed the signing of Mickael Goudemand but are routinely linked with NRL stars like Danny Levi, Luke Brooks and Chad Townsend.

Many Super League clubs will be looking to the NRL for signings and that is especially true of two clubs.

Serious About Rugby League understands that the Warrington Wolves and Salford Red Devils, as well as other interested Super League clubs, are interested in signing NRL duo Richie Kennar and James Roumanos.

Kennar is a Samoan winger / centre and 28 years old. He has played for Melbourne Storm, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Brisbane Broncos before returning to the Bunnies.

He averages a try every other game in the NRL enjoying his best rugby at Souths.

Meanwhile Roumanos is a versatile forward and a Lebanon international.

He currently plies his trade at Manly Sea Eagles.

Both are receiving plenty of interest from the Super League clubs but Serious About Rugby League understands that it is Salford and Warrington who are in pole position in the race to sign the duo.

A key focus for Salford though, alongside looking to the NRL for signings, will be keeping Brodie Croft from returning to the NRL.

Despite a mammoth contract tying him to the club until 2030, Wests Tigers are interested in triggering potential get out clauses in Croft’s contract according to the Daily Telegraph.
