Two Super League clubs leading the chase to land NRL duo

Transfers, transfers and transfers from the start of May pretty much to the beginning of the next season, transfers are a frequent topic in any and every rugby league chat and that is no different this year as we have seen from clubs like Hull KR making big waves signing former Wigan Warriors star Oliver Gildart, ex Warrington Wolves man Peta Hiku, and Castleford Tigers and Hull FC target AJ Wallace from the Bradford Bulls, snapping up the former Leeds Rhinos youngster for next year.

They’re not alone in their impressive transfer business either with Wigan Warriors making waves signing former Leeds and Huddersfield Giants hooker Kruise Leeming as well as Sam Walters and Tiaki Chan.

One area clubs will be looking to, as Wigan and Hull KR have, is the NRL.

This is something Warrington Wolves have already done reportedly signing Lachlan Fitzgibbon for 2024 beating Leeds Rhinos to his signature.

They may not be done either. Serious About Rugby League understands that the Wolves and Salford Red Devils, as well as other interested Super League clubs, are interested in signing NRL duo Richie Kennar and James Roumanos.

Kennar is a Samoan winger / centre and 28 years old. He has played for Melbourne Storm, South Sydney Rabbitohs, Brisbane Broncos before returning to the Bunnies.

He averages a try every other game in the NRL enjoying his best rugby at Souths.

Meanwhile Roumanos is a versatile forward and a Lebanon international.

He currently plies his trade at Manly Sea Eagles.

Both are receiving plenty of interest from the Super League clubs but Serious About Rugby League understands that it is Salford and Warrington who are in pole position in the race to sign the duo .
