Two stars clear of the rest in Man of Steel rankings

The Man of Steel points are in from last weekend and there us now firmly a break away top two as we head into Rivals Round.

Both George Williams and Jordan Abdull picked up three points each and thus are three points clear of the rest at the top despite being so early into the season.

Williams is top with 14 points and Abdull continues his remarkable run or full points in every full game he has played this season with 12 points.

Bevan French is third after picking three points as Wigan Warriors beat Leigh.

Despite losing, Jarrod O’Connor, Tyler Dupree and Jack Broadbent all picked up points.

LEIGH LEOPARDS V WIGAN WARRIORS
Bevan French earned his third consecutive three point haul following another standout performance in Round 7. He now sits in third place on the Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel leaderboard. French’s partner in crime Jai Field received two Man of Steel points to elevate him into the top 10 leaderboard, whilst Willie Isa picked up the final point.

HULL KR V LEEDS RHINOS
Jordan Abdull proved unplayable in Round 7 and picked up three Man of Steel points for his contributions against the Rhinos. The ever-reliable Kane Linnett received two points thanks to his tireless efforts in the back row, with Rhinos hooker Jarrod ‘Connor the recipient of the final Man of Steel point.

ST HELENS V WAKEFIELD TRINITY

Jonny Lomax picked up maximum Man of Steel points on his 300th appearance in the Red V of St Helens on Friday Night. Current Young Player of the Year Jack Welsby earned two points against Trinity, whilst Konrad Hurrell received the final Man of Steel point for his two try contribution.

CATALANS DRAGONS V CASTLEFORD TIGERS
Mike McMeeken’s seamless transition into the front row continued in Round 7 as he picked up maximum Man of Steel points. Youngster Jack Broadbent was a standout for the Tigers in defeat and deservedly received two points. Highly rated Dragon Arthur Mourgue earned the final Man of Steel point thanks to a busy display in the South of France.

SALFORD RED DEVILS V HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS
Giants Chris McQueen was the recipient of three Man of Steel points in the final game of Round 7. Experienced dummy half Nathan Peats earned his first Man of Steel points of the 2023 campaign, with Red Devils’ Tyler Dupree was handed the final point.
