Two Salford players test positive for Covid-19 days before Challenge Cup Final

Two Salford players have tested positive for Covid-19, the club have confirmed.

The Red Devils underwent two rounds of testing since their game against Huddersfield last Thursday, with the second round returning two positive tests, requiring both players to self-isolate.

There were also inconclusive tests for two further players, who are also self-isolating as a precaution.

No other players have been impacted in terms of track and trace analysis, after the club cancelled training on Sunday and Monday.

Eight other players were unavailable for today’s match against Hull KR through injury.
