Two NRL superstars reportedly arrested

According to the Daily Telegraph, two NRL stars were arrested last night in Canberra.

These were World Cup winners including Canberra Raiders star Jack Wighton as well as South Sydney Rabbitohs star and former Sydney Roosters man Latrell Mitchell.

This comes as the Daily Telegraph reports that the two were arrested over an alleged fight at a hotel in Canberra last night.

Following this, the Canberra Raiders released the following statement:

“The Canberra Raiders have been made aware of an alleged incident involving Jack Wighton last night in Canberra.

“The club has informed the NRL integrity unit and is cooperating with ACT police.

“The Raiders will not be making further comment at this time.”

Meanwhile the Rabbitohs likewise released a statement on the matter as the NRL Integrity Unit and ACT Police are now involved.

The Bunnies said:

“The South Sydney Rabbitohs are aware of an alleged incident involving Latrell Mitchell this morning in Canberra.

“The Rabbitohs have informed the NRL Integrity Unit about the alleged incident.

“The Rabbitohs will be making no further comment at this stage.”

It is another incident that has taken place ahead of the new season with plenty of incidents sadly involving the police ahead of the 2023 season.
