Daniel Tupou is one of the best wingers on the planet.
He is an NRL winner and shone in the World Cup for Tonga.
A huge, tall and powerful winger, he is a dangerous force on the flank and has been a consistent performer in the NRL.
However, he could now be headed to Super League or rugby union.
Tupou is set to have a huge decision on his hands as the Roosters strengthen their backline.
And, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, the winger is set to consider “a big money move to Super League.”
They stated: “Daniel Tupou will soon have to decide whether to remain at the Sydney Roosters – and complete the tallest, most intimidating back line in the NRL – or entertain a big-money move to the Super League or Japanese Rugby.”
It is now being reported by the Mole of Wide World of Sports that “several UK clubs” are set to monitor the winger and his situation with Super League clubs likely to offer him a longer term deal than any of Sydney’s NRL rivals.
Recently St Helens Chief Mike Rush admitted the club would be silly not be interested in a player like Tupou.
Now the Daily Telegraph is saying that a move to Super League for Tupou is more than likely.
They have said the same about his teammate Jared Waerea-Hargreaves who is in the final year of his deal and was recently subject to interest from Leigh Leopards and Catalans Dragons.
Both would be major Super League signings for 2024 and the Daily Telegraph is reporting that both are likely to make the move.
