Two huge yellow cards awarded as Hull KR lose key man

The game here at St James Park is in an interesting spot.

Both sides are down to 12 men with just two points in it.

The first yellow came just a minute after a Marc Sneyd penalty levelled matter at 12-all between Hull KR and Salford Red Devils. This penalty was for late contact on Tyler Dupree.

Then in the next set Sneyd gave Salford a 14-12 lead after he was taken out late by Dean Hadley who was sin binned.

However, matters were level in terms of players when Deon Cross was controversially yellow carded for a high tackle on Lachlan Coote.

Controversial in so far as many players have gotten away with these tackles as Coote was ducking but the contact made is likely the reason the yellow card was shown.

Coote went off for a HIA and in Cross’s absence Ryan Hall has scored down that flank to give Hull KR the lead again.

However, Hall’s try has now been cancelled out by a brilliant Ken Sio try thanks to a sublime break by Ryan Brierley.
