The final Betfred Super League regular season round will see Sky Sports broadcast two fixtures which could be crucial in deciding Play-Off positions.
On Friday 2 September Catalans Dragons will travel to Wigan (8pm) with the aim of securing a top four position and home advantage in week one of the Play-Offs.
The following day Sky Sports will show Leeds Rhinos v Castleford Tigers (3pm), which could be a winner takes all game with both aiming to fill the final Play-Off places.
Betfred Super League – Round 27
Friday 2 September
Huddersfield Giants v Wakefield Trinity, 7.45pm
Wigan Warriors v Catalans Dragons, 8pm (Sky Sports)
Saturday 3 September
Hull FC v Hull KR, 3pm
Leeds Rhinos v Castleford Tigers, 3pm (Sky Sports)
Salford Red Devils v Warrington Wolves, 3pm
St Helens v Toulouse Olympique, 3pm
The context for these games will be fully understood after Bank Holiday Monday. Wigan could technically still be in the running for the League Leaders’ Shield if Saints lose against Wakefield on Monday.
As for Catalans, they may need a win to guarantee fourth spot if the Dragons fail to beat Leeds on Monday.
A defeat for the French side could open the door for Leeds to finish in the top four if they beat Castleford and Catalans on Monday. Otherwise, it may be about securing their place in the top six and determining where exactly the finish.
Castleford will need to win to secure their play-off spot.
