Former Newcastle Knights star Eddy Tuilotolava has sadly died after battling Stage 4 Ewing Sarcoma Bone Cancer.
He was diagnosed in August 2018 at just 20 years old, and has faced a terrible battle against the disease ever since.
Tuilotolava will be remembered as a strong and flashy footballer, who possessed skill and strength well regarded in many rugby league circles, along with a wonderful engaging personality loved by so many.
At the age of 18, Eddy was offered a contract with the Newcastle Knights Under 20’s Holden Cup team which he accepted and moved to Newcastle alone, leaving his family behind.
Eddy gained employment as a full-time barber and continued to dabble in barber industry when his sickness didn’t hold him back.
Even more harrowing was the fact that Eddy was on the brink of an NRL contract when he received the horrific diagnosis that effectively ended his rugby league career.
Tuilotolava did manage to marry his sweetheart, Zoe, at the end of July with his Go Fund Me page standing at around $69,000.
