Toulouse winger to leave the club

Toulouse Olympique have confirmed that winger Tony Maurel will leave the club at the end of the 2020 season.

The 27-year-old departs after eight years with the French club, having made over 150 appearances and scoring 75 tries.

Maurel has also been called up twice by France, in a loss to Ireland and a 68-8 win over Serbia, in which he scored two tries.

Toulouse president Bernard Sarrazain said: “Tony is a great boy and we are proud to have had him at Toulouse for so long.

“He will bring a lot to his new club, both sportingly and personally.”
