Toulouse outline Championship plan

Championship side Toulouse have announced the RFL are considering two scenarios for the end of the season.

The first scenario would see a resumption at the end of August. Each side would only play each other once, and would keep their points from earlier in the season. The top four would then enter the playoffs, with the winners promoted to the Super League.

This plan would depend on how restrictions are by that date, in regards to the coronavirus, and securing a safe environment for the players.

Meanwhile, the second plan would be to declare the season null and void, and start again in 2021.

A decision will be expected by early July at the latest.

Toulouse have said they will support any decision, and be ready for either outcome.
